RealWorld Icon Editor

Hi all,

we have released a new version of our icon authoring software with a couple of new features. One of the fancy ones is the ability to create projected shadows similar to the ones found in some Vista icons.

Shadow effect (see the attached screenshot) is created by simply dragging from a point where the object touches ground upwards. Of course it is not a real shadow, but the results are definitely worth the effort.

RealWord Icon Editor can edit simple 3D models and create icons directly from them. Other scenarios such as image to icon conversion, icon extraction, etc. are also supported.

If you could spare some time and explain what you did not like, I would very much appreciate it. The GUI (windows layout, menu, toolbars) is configurable and maybe it could be adjusted to your needs. If not, then maybe in the next version...

(You can of course have your own opinion regarding the worth of the application, but many users find the prices suprisinly low compared to the unique feature set. All icons inside the application and on our web were created exclusively with this program, without any additional software. The GUI is a bit unusual, but with the help of the tutorials from the application and the online tutorials, it could be mastered.)

And to rjohnstone: this is not spam, the message is in correct forum (named 3rd party applications), it is classified as "Release" and the character of the application is consistent with this web. On the other hand your post is quite useless and not to the topic. I guess there is a reason for the minimum character limit.
