It looks like the font used in Iceman's Aqua msstyles which I'm using but don't know what font it is...
Its not the font namie its that the objectbar isnt using any shadow effects thats why its looking dull. Hopefully peteross sees this thread asap cuz hes really good with objectbar. :artist:
omg, you're right... it was such a simple thing! A stupid check on the box!!
For some reason my OB was set to "disable all 'shadow' special effects used in skins (speeds performance when certain skins are used)'
urrr!!! you can delete this topic if you want
So I don't take up more space...
I have SkinStudio but can anyone tell me where to edit to change the fonts for the drop-down menu and where to add shadows for them too?

Sorry, I'm kinda new to the OSX WindowsXP styling.
What program makes your bar like that? I already have Y'z Dock.
ObjectBar , available at stardock.com as part of the OBJECT DESKTOP Suite of programs.
Jeff rules! :own:
my eyes are tired but doesn't that last pic have shadows on the text?
or is it just fat anti-aliasing?
Anyone know which place to edit with SkinStudio for the dropdown-menu font?

I want to have shadows for the dropdown-menu menu also and end up looking like this...

you mean like how to make a drop down menu? I ain't sure if you even need skinstudio. the option is somewhere in objectbar prog itself.

Man, you guys need to update your font's.
here's what my ob looks like, the font's are 'ALMOST' identical to OS X ![]()

You can get the fonts I use in my recent panther ob theme ![]()

An identical port is very hard to do because each OS use's font smoothing and sizing differently, so they'll always be a lil off.

thx

all the fonts are in the themes .ini files.
they will be in:
x:\program files\object desktop\objectbar\themename\barname\blah.ini
and:
x:\program files\object desktop\objectbar\themename\barname\menus\blah.ini
Or a somewhat simular structure. Each theme will vary depending on where the author wanted to put the files.
Chris
you can never get perfectly identical Lucida Grande on Windows. Thats because OS X renders the font differently.
However, I must say that Binary's font is the closest to the real thing I have seen yet.. (Y)

not my font ![]()
It's Owned by whomever made lucida grande ![]()
I still have to make the bold version smoother and fix some spacing problems though.
