If you wanna know how to get them up look for this file:

C:\Documents and Settings\%Username%\Application Data\Microsoft\MSN Messenger\%emailadress@hotmail.com%

and the files called configcache.xml. It's all pretty basic and easy and if you know what you're doing you can get some cool custom tabs.

Below is an example of a Aqua-soft.org tab that links to the forums.

The Aqua Soft Forums

It's all pretty easy and stuff to learn, and you can create whatever you want, the only problem is when you click out of the tab back to your userlist, then your tab refreshes and you have to start loading again.

There are some examples on www.mess.be if you get really lost.

Anyways happy modding

Yes, pretty cool for I found out about the Mess.be link about 2 months ago...This is what I am trying to configure...the horrible Windows (default) sound when I receive an email...

When you open up MSN Messenger there is a Tab for 'sounds' but that takes me to the Windows (default) sound options...Having Iceman's VS Jag, which comes with all the wonderfully soothing Mac sounds already programed to use, is there a way where I could switch/replace the obnoxious Windows (default) tone with a Mac sound that I already have?

The messenger sounds are at the very bottom of the windows sounds. They are incorporated into one dialogue just for easy access. If you scroll down to the bottom they'll be there.

Centra3,

Ok...thanks, for that's what I thought...I went to my 'Sounds and Audio Devices' in System Preferences (lol...got to luv it)...and then changed the Messenger "New Mail" notification sound to 'chimes.wav'...

This should be more soothing then the rather loud, obnoxious Windows Messenger (default) sound that always causes me to jump...especially late at night!

Are there any sounds for iChat? Can a Mac user bring them to us mortals?

:)
