Buying a Powerbook (I need tips)

just about to buy a used/ 2nd hand powerbook g4, is there any things that i should be looking out for

Im also thinking about getting a powerbook, but im not to sure if I should get a new one of a second hand one. Right now, i have an toshiba notebook, which is reaaaaally old but does the job. If I was to get a powerbook, it would only really be used for typing **** out, movies and stuff. One of my friends has the iBook 12', which is really cool and a perfect size but they dont sell them anymore. Suggestions would be helpful, btw this would be my first mac.
