Can't take screen shot

I can take a screen shot by holding down the Alt button and taking a shot of only the active window, but when just pressing the 'Print Screen' button for a screen shot of my whole screen, the paste function produces nothing???? This has never happened before I installed the FlyakiteOSX. Can anybody give me any direction on resolving this one. I actually use this feature quite a bit for quick and easy collaboration. Thanks!!

try holding down the Control key when pressing the Print Screen key. This has always worked for me.
