Killing Keyloggers

I have a question/concern about keyloggers and how to be sure I don't have any on my system. I regularly run several progs to check my comp, namely AdAware, Spybot, SpywareBlaster, A-Squared, Ewido, and WinPatrol (although I might switch to BO Clean). I also ran a real-time program (I think called KL-Detector) that checked for any active log files that may have indicated the presence of a keylogger - it picked up two that were in use, but they were for Zonealarm and Firefox. I have never had any keyloggers detected from these methods and progs. I also keep a close eye on how many processes are running, and if something comes up that I don't recognize, I immediately look into it.

My question despite all of this is, how do I know for sure that I have no keyloggers on my computer, or are the methods and results I have obtained thus far proof enough? I have read information that some keyloggers do not show up in the system processes, and could actually be hidden within the registry itself, unless I misunderstood. I want to be able to safely bank and such online, and know that no keyloggers are present to record and send my personal information to some punk thief who is too lazy to get a real job. Is there anything else I can do to ensure that I have no keyloggers?

Maybe I'm just overly cautious, maybe I'm paranoid, or maybe I just have too much free time. If I figure that out I'll update the post... :-)

Thx for the help!

Well, I must say, that's innovative... time consuming, but innovative! :)

Wouldn't that level of paranoia indicate a potential psychiatric condition however? I'm not sure that any program can help with that, at least not a program available in stores. LOL

I'm also a bit worried, I think I may have a completely undetectable virus and it has basically taken over all my files, folders and documents by converting them to a nasty corrupt format known as NTFS.

I'm not sure but I think it has penetrated at every level of my PC, down to controlling my hardware, even the motherboard and monitor too!

It has presented me with an interface by which I have some simulated control over things, and allows me to play games and browse the internet and such, but its freaking me out.

Moreover I have a completely undetectable by any means ever, trojan, which I know I have but cannot prove it in anyway, but it's there trust me.

The trojan periodically sends screenshots of my screen to a masked IP address, which means I cannot type or do anyhting on my computer now as it would be too hazardous.

The firewall does not help as the trojan is unique and as I said completely undetectable.

I'm definitely being monitored and now live in fear of my computer.

I sit in the corner at nights and just stare at the screen knowing that it would be dangerous to even touch it now.

Occasionally I browse A-S but as I do, I know all my personal details and files are being recorded and being sent to a remote server.

I limit myself to a 3 minute session on the internet each day, I know it is too much of a risk to try anymore than that.

Even when I'm not connected to the internet, it sends the screeenshots over an encrypted Wi-Fi network which is amazing as I don't have a wireless card.

I'm pretty sure everyone here has the same fears but is there anything I can do?

PS .:Q:. I feel for you mate, cos it obvious you're facing a much bigger problem than I am.

I'm sorry.
