Hey everyone, i just downloaded some videos and i tried to play them but they just wont. finally i found out that these videos need asf codec which is an mpeg-4 codec to work, so i downloaded it and i dont know where to put them. can you guys tell me what i have to do? if anybody wants to discuss this through pm thats fine with me too. thanks.
Codecs
what file types are they? (The codec files)
Better yet download VLC player, it can play almost anything (asf included)
its mpg4c32.dll, mpg4ds32.ax. these are the files that came in the rar. i have vlc but for some reason its not being played. should i download it again maybe its an old version, 0.8.1. i used a codec information appaliance to find out whats wrong, and this is what it said "this is, or appears to be, an unsupported filetype. GSpot provides full support for OGG and AVI media streams. Based on its composition, GSpot believes the filetype to be "ASF (.WMA/.WMV)".
if you are having problems with codecs just download k-lite codec pack, with it you'll be able to play any type of video, and when I say any, I mean any
cool will give it a try, i already have a codec pack but it must not support some of the newer ones. thanks for the link.
