Start button remains "windows-style"

Hello forum,

a few weeks ago i installed flyakite 3.5 and it worked well. but since two days some parts turned back to the default windows style. in particuler it is the taskbar including the start button (win flag) and the folder designs. everything else (bootscreen, icons, sounds) is still osx style.

i changed nothing within my system the last days, so i really don´t know what went wrong.

i tried system files updater and force system files updater and even reinstalling flyakite, but nothing solved the problem.

does anyone know what to do? as i already said, everything worked fine just a week ago...

thanks,

Try downloading the Universal UX Theme Patcher and running that. It's on flyakite's site, under Downloads on the menubar ;).

Wow, thanks a lot! That solved the problem!

I have this problem also, after I installed flyakiteOSX 3.5 the taskbar was the horrid win98/95 style taskbar and not the pretty OSX style taskbar that I was expecting. I searched the forums here, found this thread and tried the Universal UX Theme Patcher that nightcrawler1089 suggested.

Whe i ran the Universal UX Theme Patcher (v1.3) I was presented with an error saying "Your uxtheme.dll version is not currently supported by this patch. Please contact the developer at [email address] so your version (6.0.2900.2845) can be added."

Has anyone encoutered this problem before obviously I'll send the required email but I thought I'd ask here first rather than bother the developer(s)?

Thanks

You're not on x64, are you? I've never seen this problem...did you try running it again?

I managed to find out how to correct my problem, I went to http://www.anti-tgtsoft.com/ which was listed when running the Universal UX Theme Patcher program, I then downloaded the pre-patched Uxtheme library for Windows XP. I simply copied that to my windows folder, rebooted and everything was fine!

I too have the same problem.

I installed the uxtheme patcher v2.1 (twice) without any success.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
