Desklets for AveDesk do not work

So i have a bunch of desklets downloaded, but it seems that i cant make like any of them work. Many Avescripter is installed, and so are weather desklets, power monitors, and the like. It seems that i cant add them tho. If they dont have a .dll file with them, they dont run. I'm not sure why they wont install. What is going wrong here?

I you are talking of AveScripter desklets, here's an easy instuction. You have to have AveDesk 1.3 to use it. First, install AveScripter (there's a nice new release that you can take here: http://www.aqua-soft.org/board/showthread.php?t=33900 ). Then install the desklets - most of it are in .aveinst format, so you just have to double-click them and they run instantly. If you want to activate a desklet that have been installed already (according to the previous steps, of course), go to AveDesk Control Panel, menu Desklets > Add... and in the tree on the left expand the AveScripter branch and choose the config you wish to activate. That's is, working with no problems for me.

i'm really new and still trying to get my head around all of this, and i'm having a similar problem. i've tried installing the new Avescripter but when i run the install file i get a nice splashscreen telling me what it is then nothing happens.

AveScripter is simply a base for other desklets.
