Problem With .aveinst files

Hi..

I am having problems with installing desklets and other things with .aveinstal files. When I open it asks if i want to chose program from list or search net...

I am running windows xp sp2 if it makes a difference.

yes i tried this... but still would not work. Any other suggestions?

And Sorry the file name is .aveinst not a .aveinstal

DW i worked it out... I have to restart everytime i install something... dont know why...

you need to install the AveScripter. I also had the same problem a few months ago. this should do the trick.

did you register the avedesk.exe file?

1-go to avedesk folder

2-double click on register.bat

3-enjoy it

or:

1-open the desklet control panel

2-drag the *.aveinst file

3-enjoy it

it works for a few people. but installing the AveScripter works better since a lot of the desklets haven't been updated to fully support AveDesk 1.3. just install AveScripter and thats it. You find every old widget, including the famous Apple Weather widget.
