After I install the latest Flyakite v. 3.5 everything works just fine. However, after a couple of reboots of perhaps as a result of the programs built in update, the icons in the internet explorer standard toolbar (back, front, reload, home etc.) retuns to the XP standard ones. The same is in the Windows explorer. Can someone please help me how I get back the icons which come with Flyakite.
IE Standard toolsbar returns to normal XP
Run the System Files Updater. You can run it at startup: go to the Current User Settings and check off System Files Updater.
another scenario... If you recollect seeing a notifier popup from Flyakite (out of the systray) that said "1 or some files have been updated.." and yet the toolbar still is the default xp style. Try this:
1) Right Click on a blank area of said toobar and choose "customize"
2) Toggle the "large/small icons" drop down menu option (meaning select the opposite of current choice) and exit the window by hitting "close."
3) Repeat above procedure to revert the toolbar to your original state.
4) hopefully you will get your toolbar back.
Please post if this work, good luck.

I have tried to uninstall and reinstall flyakite, and that works. However, the problems returns again after a couple of reboots, so it only solves the problem temporarily.
The option to right click and choose customize doesn't work either. It only keeps changing between small and large XP icons.
However, I had tried to Rebuild Icon Cache, the option which installes itself with Flyakite, and that didn't work. Though I oned the option to 'Force System File Update', and that seem to have worked. I didn't know exactly which option it was that worked, since I ticked to Force Update all system files. Now it has been working for a few re-boot over the last day, so hopefully that solved the problem. If it didn't, I'll come back here for more help. Until then, thats for all your feedback.
For future reference:
The bitmaps responsible for Explorer and IE toolbar are located in shell 32, so if they go back to winxp style you can just tick the shell32 box in Flyakite's Force System File Update and everthing should be as you like it.
Take care.
