I want to do some of them my self, but do not know how to. can someone explain it to me.

Well...all of the above I guess. SkinStudio might be a good place to start although I find it a bit confusing...I use it mainly for ObjectBar modding. Good luck.

Everyone has addressed most things. Really there is no one simple answer.

Most skinnable app's have some form of resources or tutorials.

For simplicity sake my first suggestion would perhaps be Rainlendar as it is relatively simple and in my experience very forgiving.

Uhh, for itunes skins, you have to create images! Meh, I just go to original skins and recolor and make them sexy.

How to create skins:

Step 1. Steel underpants.

Step 2. ...?

Step 3. Skins!

Usually, if there is an app that supports skins, they will have something to help with the skinning of that app. Or look at other skins to see what they do then apply what you learned to your own.
