Sysstats and Miranda-IM Docklet

hi,

i want to make a sysstats config to control the popular miranda instant messenger (www.miranda-im.org). during the last weeks i tried to get familiar with systats, but interacting with another programm is much more complex (for me) than writing standard meters (cpu meter etc).

so i guess i'm able to control miranda by sending messages (handles?) to its window. i've seen that sysstats has the ability to do so, but i cant figure out what to send and how.

in addition the docklet must have the ability to receive messages from miranda, i.e. for displaying a message icon when miranda receives a message.

wanted features:

display icon according to miranda status (online, offline, away, n/a...)

display message icon when receiving a message

clicking on message icon opens the received message

as i think that most of you developers are familiar with windowhandles and sysstats, i hope you can give me helpful hints or even more.

thanks in advance, rylos

I love you! Whooohoo!

I've been waiting for something like this ever since I saw Adium jumping in the dock :D

I don't know if it's possible but it'd be great , too, if your docklet could show a running indicator underneath when Miranda is running.

i'm not sure, but it seems that miranda has no COM interface...

how can my sysstats else communicate with miranda? with APIs or handles?

@vitasg: this should be possible, but you should be able see from the dock icon wheater its running or not.
