Firefox/Safari Download in Progress

I hope this will be of use to at least one person. I'm been browsing through this thread and it seems as if icon makers all have their own websites or deviantart. I'm not a very good graphic designer nor constant iconist, so I only put up what I think 'll be of use to someone.

To use:

Go to Folder Options in the Control Panel. On the File Types tab, create a new one with the extension PART and change the icon to this one.

If you have a registry cleaner, it might get erased, so make sure to put it on the exclusion list.

Is there a way to set this so that the bar on the icon actually progresses with the status of the download? (I have the various iconss showing differing stages on the progress bar; just don't know how to apply them.) Thanks.

btw, it didnt seem to work if i accessed the folder options from a folder, i had to do it from the control panel.

conga, you ARE supposed to do it from the Control Panel. Individual folder options will have no effect .

vitasg, your request would probably require a pretty intense Firefox extension. I have never come across something like that in my experience, so I have my doubts. Best of luck finding something!

Ditto what NC said. I thought about it when i was coming up with it, but then I'm like that's impossible and resolved on doin it halfway. Plus, i think it would be pretty hard on your PC, since icons aren't usually updated every second.
