Replacing Windows File Explorer

Can anyone tell me whether it is possible to use the registry to replace the windows file explorer with another program like looca or nexplorer? If so, how do i do it?

i doubt it. I've seen a post like this somewhere on this site before. I remember it said that trying to replace explorer was dangerous. The reason for that is because the windows file explorer is the basis of all of windows. It is the start menu, the task bar and any other dialogue box used. But i think i know what you want. You want to have looca or nexplorer to open by default instead of explorer?

Again, I wouldn't recommend doing it. The second link isn't harmful, though, and can be easily reversed. There's a fix provided if you need to reverse it (search for it, I'll give you a hint--bzeitler posted it, though he didn't start the thread, and the inquiry was about Nexplorer).
