I found someones iPod

is the ipod rectangled shape, with an almost square screen and a circle underneath on which you have buttons? And on the back, is there a half eaten apple engraved? If so it's mine, I've lost it a few weeks ago please PM me for my address and phone number... looking forward to reading from you. Thanks in advance

No contact details, all I've got to go on is the serial number.

I've tried googling iPod lost and iPod found but these are pretty much stateswide...nothing for poor old blighty!

May try police and a couple of local bullitin boards.

Looked at the Apple store but nothing for lost and found.

Any ideas...or could this be treasure? Oh...er Hic! As usual.

i think if u email apple customer care it will show who the owner is.

I went all over the Apple site and had to phone..They had the serial but could not identify the owner because he/she hadn't registered..

So...a lesson here...Register your product and get a valid id and contact should be easy!

I will take care of it until the owner desides to post a 'lost' message. I will not give it to the police here. I have my reasons.

Put up a found poster where you found it. Maybe the person will see it. Just make sure they know what songs are on the thing.

if someone claims it, give him/her a test say example, give some songs in a certain playlist etc. just to make sure.

Just be careful of who you give it to. Whoever says its theirs ask them:

- What Generation is it/Describe the iPod

- what is teh serial number? (I have this written down)

- are there any significant marks, etc on it?

- what songs, videos etc are on it?

- where was it/could have it been lost?

And hopefully the owner will give you something in return... money, or at least some music.
