Animation of Plugging in Removable Drive

I am used to have a nice animation showing up whenever a removable drive is plugged into a USB port. It is gone for some reason I don't know. Reinsatll Flyakite OSX 3.5 on the top of the old one does not fix it. Does anyone know how to restore it back?

Are you talking about the dialog with the progress bar and the names of all the files flashing by quickly until the auto-play selection window pops-up in its stead? Or is there a different animation?

Yes, this is the one with a magnifying glass searching for files. It is now replaced by a small throbber snimation.

I believe that animation is located in shell32.dll. Use ResHacker to search for it--it's a .avi that can be replaced.
