In the picture of attached something seems to be off. Is it just the corners or also the shading's a little too dark.
Long story short I'm working on recreating this style since I didn't keep notes the first time.

Whell,I don`t know what`s yours tool of choice,but seems to me like Photoshop touches.
If U knew how to make this I don`t see what should be a problem to corect it.Anyway,try to work on inner bevel,if U used it,or inner shadows.That should help.
Actually, I use Gimp. Don't use bevel but, I think you pointed me in the direction of one of the issues. It's a number of varying bump maps.
