Add Bookmark Extension For FF

I know that there is a link to the add bookmark extension to firefox, but it's not compatable for FF 1.5. I know that there is also a guard on how to change the max version of an extension but i have been unable to get it to work so i was wondering if any body had the extension could they post it up

Works fine here with a version bump.

Download this one:

http://usuarios.lycos.es/jggamba/Uploads/saf-addbookmark.xpi

rename it saf-addbookmark.zip

open it and edit the install.rdf

make the max version 1.6

save, rename the file to saf-addbookmark.xpi, install and use.

thanks zerroeffect, but i tried that earlier and firefox still recognises it as a .zip file and thus it doesn't install.

yeah i know but when i open up a .xpi file in firefox it works just file

Did you drag the .xpi to your extension window? I don't think it works if you try to open it via the File menu.

i've found that a better way to do this to NOT rename the file. rather, right-click and open with winzip (or your favorite zip utility). drag out the rdf, edit it, and readd it to the xpi, all without remanimg. seems to work better. good luck!

yeah i tried the drag and drop into the extension folder but no such luck, iill tried the other suggest now and see what happens. but whenever i download a .xpi, its recognised as a .zip straight away

xtract the install.rdf, edit it and put it back. that's it

shift-rightclick install.rdf and select 'open with.' then select notepad to edit the file. then learn how to use a computer.
