So I was thinking, since Vista obviously isn't going to come out whenever M$ says, I say we have a contest. The rules: You get one "guestimate," and you have to specify the exact date. No repeats either. So my guess is:
February 19, 2007.
Whoever wins will get a prize.
Sure, I'll be optimistic and say 1st December, 2006 (!).

Jim Allchin said before that the goal was December 1, 2006.
But more recently, the Microsoft Connections Blog let it slip that the release date was November 6. That entry was since edited to say "the second half of this year." Either way, November or December, Vista's a 2006 product.
