Did he finally boot xp on the mactel?

Excellent!

#368934

golly, those pics don't look fake. can it be? there are some smart mofos out there...

#368935

why would you want to do that though?

#368937

Have you switched to Mac yet? There are just somethings that you need a PeeCee for. I still have my old 500MHz PIII for some programs that I need that don't have Mac equivalents yet. And for games.

#368938

I'd rather have a mac able to boot windows, than have another desktop on top of my desk.

#368941

Yikes, that is just plain wrong :o

#368942

how about a windows comp that can run mac on a separate partition instead of a desktop on a desktop :P

that way you can choose, rather then installing windows on a mac...

why run windows on a mac?!

*osx dies*

"we are windows...you will be assimilated....resistance is futile"

#368945

print screen + paint = mac with a fullscreen pic of xp

#368947

why run windows on a mac?!

You're the second person to ask this. Scroll up for your answer.

#368948

awesomeness!

#368956

There are so many reasons to be honest, not everyone likes osx, not everyone likes the programs for osx. Some people work in places that require windows apps, and virtualpc is just suckage. Plus there are those who enjoy to play a game here and then. What else?

#368957

Than just buy a pc

#368963

That's childish...

#368965

You guys are the biggest damn apple zealots possible...

#368966

If your going to by a mac than love osx

#368967

Do you own a Mac? Or do you just wish you owned one?

#368970

hmm.. I'm affraid I wish, lol

(I'm still at college, so I don't have alot of money)

#368971

Why can't we love both?

#368972

Than just buy a pc

That's really funny.

Go on Neowin and people will be like "Why do you want to skin your PC to look like a Mac? Why don't you just buy a Mac?"

Now it's "Just buy a PC."

Some of us happen to like/want/need/require freedom and choice and the ability to switch between both without paying (and making space for) two computers.

#368978

cant the new version of osx run off a computer!?

#368985

Thanks Autumnmist you couldn't have said what I had in mind better.

I like to have my computer to look like a Mac sometimes, and sometimes I like it to look like Vista or w/e, but that's not really the point. Having the possibilities and the right to skin/modify/change our computer, play with them and to choose the OS we like to work, the apparence of it's hardware of software is the private choice of everyone, you like that? So much the better, you don't? Well, too bad.

But for Aqua's sake... Guys, stop trying to change people way of thinking and living. ''Buy a mac'' he says... Well give us the money.

#368986

Why can't we love both?

Seconded! :) Both of their benefits/uses.

There are so many zealots on either end it's funny to sit back & watch. Back in business school would learn about Apple in Marketing then walk down the hall to learn programs on a pc this was back in 3.1 days. Nice irony. ;)

#368988

isn't it kind of over kill to run xp on a new imac. thats like spending all this money on a 50 inch plazma tv just to play atari on it.

#369003

I'd kill for the Windows version of MS Excel on Mac.... you just can't substitute full-screen number crunching. That and Half Life 2.

If you down 3 grand into a laptop/monitor config... don't even think about mentioning GET A VAIO THEYr CHEAp11!! As much as I love Sony, I don't want to buy TWO computers after pimping out a MBP.
