I found a tutorial on how to make a snow glow type object, this wallapaper needs alot of work but tell me what u think and what i can change.

very very nice. my only comment is to some how "bring out" the translucent/transparent globe portion (between the blue caps)... somehow, if possible. e.g. reflection on the front part of the globe.
EDIT: I just now clicked on the pic from the original post, which has the reflection also on the transparent part, but yeah, something like that. (maybe not as drastic of a reflection for the updated version?)
heres another update, im trying to get this right, but for some reason i cant get this right.

Not sure if you noticed, but there are a few runaway pixels on the left side of that globe. I think it's getting better with each update, perhaps put a round shadow under the globe like it's resting on a surface and not a drop shadow under the bottom part.
Oh, and nice avatar. That apple is sweet!
see thats the issue if i add a shadow to the whole thing then the glass becomes darkend.
Perhaps a misinterpretation...
Here's an image I made real quick to better express what I was saying.

Haha, when you've done as many aqua-oriented pictures as I have, it becomes second nature; like riding a bike. With basic shapes like that, it doesn't take anymore than a minute to get that result, the real quality comes from the detailing after that. Which I was too lazy to do. :slant:
Not bad looking. I wish i could do that too.. would take me hours to get that result. haha.
woohoo that looks verry nice
you should ask intel for a designer job ![]()
verry nice!
Nice work.
Yeah... Agree
A bit gradient-y. But very cool, and brilliant idea.
