i think the thing is that xfire isnt that popular...
most ppl using trillian and miranda but xfire unfortunately hasnt even a trillian plugin :
I use xfire all the time, however it still isn't that popular. Most of the skins available for it are pretty poor, although there are a few exception. I've just gone back to using the plain Default one - it's not pretty, but it's much better than the garish ones supplied with it.
I use XFire myself. I do not like most of the skins available for it. And while I do use Trillian, I like XFire because it does not knock out of World Of Warcraft when someone wants to chat, which is excatly what it is designed to do: be a gaming friendly chat client. Pretty important when someone wants to IM me and I am in the middle of a UBRS run.
Xfire seems pretty popular to me, with 3 million users. You can't really compare Xfire to Trillian or Miranda. Xfire is focused on gaming.
I do agree that there's a real lack of quality skins though. Check out http://www.gunsammocrate.com . They have a lot of skins, some are pretty good.
I've been around to several sites, including Gun's site, but all the skins are just the same...clunky...i was just hoping thered be someone out there who was an XFire user and was willing to try their hand at skinning its interface...
Or maybe its about time I should attempt to skin something myself...

But surely turning it into a multimessenger woud detract from being a gaming-centric client, no? Whilst we're here, shout out your xfire username and maybe we can get a big game of something going. I'm 'simonread' ;D

I actually used that skin more often than any others... along with the media player skin and the WB Skin...etc. Now I was hoping for an aqua theme..seeing as how thats what i prefer (cause i cant afford a Mac)...
Making an aqua/OS X skin probably wouldn't be too hard if you used the Luna Element skin as a base. Just replace the images and maybe change a few values.
