System Tray and hiding the taskbar

I'm trying to finish my desk but have hit a wall. I can't find any system tray replacement that could be stand alone or working with Samurize. and I have difficulties hiding the taskbar without any dock installed...could someone help me on that one?

Right click on the Taskbar, click on Properties, Then choose "auto hide". Alternately you can use a program like Object Bar

the auto hide feature leaves a 1 pixel border wich is really irritating. plus It's still there and like I said I would prefer not to use any docks for that config.
