Completely off topic, but why would a system fan suddenly start to make a hard 'vibrating' noise?
Make sure there's nothing touching the fan, like a loose wire or something. If that's not it, replace the fan; the motor probably went out.

Probably the fan bearings have gone out of order and fan is not rotating as it should and touching something. Had that happen once.
