customizing the classic startmenu in SP2

hi

i was trying to change the classic startmenu a bit

but the regkeys found here ( http://virtualplastic.net/html/icn_strt.html#xpclassic )

doesnt seem to work with xp sp2

does anyone have a list with the actual ones for sp2?

What exactly are you trying to do? If you're trying to edit names, this should be useful (and I believe it's universal to all versions of XP)--

Yeah, so what's wrong with the regkeys provided? Do they simply not exist in SP2?

basicly im trying to do thing like the ppl did in this thread

so this are the things i want to do...

- add single buttons for change user, sleep and shutdown

- mordify the search so that it directly goes to search instead of have a useless popup with the additional useless search funktions search for ppl and search the internet

- the same for the settings button..

- add the displaysettings menu

- add a 'my games' folder

the idea with the dock menu is nice too .. but i dont think its possible with rk launcher

yeah they seem to not exist, when iam using them it will add a button in the menu but it does nothing when clicking on it =

Hmmm, it's worked for me before on SP1. I'll try and look into it further, but sorry I can't help you now. It may not even be possible .

hmm..if I'm not mistaken, you can do custom menus with Samurize. might be worth checking out!

why do they change the numbers anyway.. when you look at vp.net its whould be kinda easy to find out by trying at 95/98/Me/2k cuz the numbers only go up to ~50 oO"

but with xp its over 300.. and i think if xp goes sp3 it will change again..

such a unclean os.. ><"
