I was playing around with miranda, and all of a sudden it froze. I closed miranda through processes from ctrl+alt+del, and once i opened Miranda back up.. look what i got

That is quite weird- have you used dbtool.exe? Maybe your contact frame is hidden.
Also do you actually have contacts anymore?

Nope, my contacts work and I do not use dbtool.exe. The black part is my problem :slant:
So the actual problem is the shadow not the lack of contacts. Is the shadow part of the skin? or is it given by an external program? Look under options-> window->translucency options->enable drop shadow
No- you need to use dbtool.exe- it will fix errors in your database casue by corruption. Look in your /miranda IM folder for it.
IIRC, this is a sort of weird bug in the clist_modern plugin that some people have. If you go to options -> contact list -> window, what options do you have checked under "appearance"? Try unchecking all three and seeing what happens...

umm, which plugin are you using exactly? what version? 'cause that doesn't match up with mine.

are you using that version of it?? Try going to the author's website and downloading the 0.4.1.24 version of it. That one you linked to is buggy, in my opinion.
ok.. downloaded it, put in plugins folder, doesnt show on list :confused:
Just so you do realize this, aqua-soft is not a software support forum. Miranda has forums, if you can't figure out your problem, you could try posting over there.
I honestly have no clue what the problem is, why it won't work on your computer.

Well the good news is that when it did not show on the list, it used clist_nicer as an alternative, and there were no black borders around it!
how are you loading the same skin with clist nicer and modern?? I didn't think that was possible...
if you wanna give me your email, I'll send you mine...it's the same as the one you downloaded though, so I don't know how that'll help

Edit: Well I know what the problem is, it is the plugin clist_modern. The next problem is that it wont show up in my plugins in options..:[

Also got a little prob here.. Normally i can scale my miranda clist but about a minute ago i wanted to apply the Nique theme again. Now i can't scale my clist anymore (left, right)! Is there a option i've overlooked?

First by disabling layer engine , you disabled all clist modern functionality, transparency, shadows etc... and this is cause of this weirdness. (Don't play with functions that you don't know deafult set is best) Second Problem with scaling is in Niqu skin, just change skin temporarily, scale to your needs and revert back to Niqu. Done
