Is there any file that I can edit in order to make an older theme compatible with 1.5? The theme is Bister by the way.
Firefox Theme Compatibility
No, the theme has to pretty much be reworked altogether. You can theoretically change the compatible version number, but the odds are it still won't work...
Worth a try, can you tell me how?
I don't remember offhand (because everyone I read about tried it and it failed most of the time) but if you search in the forums here you'll find it. There are at least two or three threads on it.
Edit the install.rdf file inside the theme's .jar file and set the maxVersion value at 1.5.0.*.
Warning: this won't work at all with themes, because their internal file structure has been changed for 1.5 in a way that 1.5 themes can work with 1.0, but not vice versa. You can edit the install.rdf file, but you're just wasting your time.
Damn didn't work, oh well I just figured if you could do that with extensions you could do it with themes.
