what we see here is a win2k box with sp3 | icons show in 16 colours. Seems something to do with acad 2k4 ( a google with 'enable/disable digital si...' gave: http://216.239.39.100/search?q=cache:7-j36...&hl=en&ie=UTF-8
Dont know what to do to fix this | i repaired icons (tweakui), deleted video card and restarted, wipped autocad 2k4 and reinstalled again, did a sfc /scannow, well... >.<

What parts of ACAD 2004 did you install? There's several parts to the application upon install, and some of the features are new - a list of what you originally installed during setup would be helpful.
I had a similar problem with ACAD 2000, but 2002 hasn't given me any hassles.
First thing you need to do when installing any version of ACAD is to back up your registry - I know its too late for that, but perhaps you can browse through and destroy all your Autodesk reg entries? Thats most likely where your problem is, unless 2004 has replaced one of your display .dll's (which might have happened, but I highly doubt).
Try scrubbing the registry...that would be my first action. Autodesk is infamous for throwing out tons of reg keys...it stems back from the days that AutoCAD used physical locks on the serial port to activate CAD...they just decided to start having their way with the system reg instead of locking the hardware.

I agree with you on the acad-registry add-galore. Half of the instalation bar is all registry stuff. No doubt acad screwed something there...

No problem...please let me know how well this solves the problem for you, or if you track down something else. I haven't had this problem, but Im certain that someone I know will run into it as I know hundreds of CAD peeps with about zero real time OS experience.
Another useful piece of info if I need to troubleshoot some 2nd year draftsmans machine that Im depending on to get out one of my sites... 
BTW, how good are you with CAD and whats your current MSN? Ive got 29 sites right now that I might need help on...the pay is excellent.

something in acad 2k4 screwed things | i wiped it again, did a registry clean , rebooted, things are the same >.

i aint know sh·%t of cad design | just ps and slowly taking the curve on c4d.
