Adium Colors For Miranda I.M

This was made for the Clist_Modern Plugin V0.4.2.7 or newer (it needs the new row engine).

- Installation instructions are inside the ReadMe.

- This is a Second release, mainly to gather comments, opinions, bugs (if any) on the new (and hopefully improved) look. there will be additions later with more color variants and some more "Eye Candy" such as selection graphics etc.

- This Release also includes an Adium "Bubbles" Style.

Changes in V2.0 :

- Almost NO bevel was used in this skin - all the 3D effects were made using blurrs, shadows, highlighting and gradients. the smoother look was emphasized.

- Smoother and Softer Shadows.

- Edge Highlighting for better accentuation.

- Rounded Corners Radius was increased for a more "round" appearance.

- basically this whole skin was based on an entirely new .psd and .msf

Changes Planned for next Release :

- More colors planned, including Silver/Zinc, Yello, Grey, Dark Blue and other requests received from users.

- Selection Graphics for some of the styles (Mainly the "Bubbles")

- "Bubbles" inside "Group Bubbles" Style

I can specify my settings if you`d like though it`s pretty easy to set up (just select an effect, color and opacity).

Well, I cant get the new clist plugin to show up in my plugins list, any ideas? using newest MIM 4.0.3.

BTW I think that this skin may need some work, but @Alianyn, maybe if you did some work, and re-releases this under open source, we could have some GREAT mods going here.

i`m not sure what you mean (perhaps it is my english), but if you mean the colors are very candy-like then yes, that is the look i was going for...

there will be next pack with more "serious" colors.

try the following :

1. remove any other clist plugins in that directory.

2. make sure you are not trying the ansi plugin with the unicode core.

3. make sure you are using the latest miranda core V0.4.3 Build #48 - it will not work without it.

4. make sure you delete the older plugin before copying the newer one.

5. try erasing old - restarting mirand - quitting miranda - installing new.

6. what version of miranda core and clist_modern do you currently use?

Oh, im having a new problem with it showing up, but reverting back, ill try removing the plugins folder and replacing it.

EDIT: Nope, Replaced the plugins folder, and everytime a iselect the modern plugin, it reverts back to Nicer+

@Benji - why don`t you just remove the nicer+ plugin temporarily, or just rename it to clist_nicer-dll (that`s what i do when i want to switch between clist plugins).

well - after releasing that last version i got a lot of requests for new colors - so there will be around 7-10 new additions of colors including - 2 types of orange, purple, dark blue and navy blue, yellow, a darker green (more like sea color), grey, beige and milk - if anyone wants anything else - please post here or sned me a mail.

i`ve also worked on a new look - which i don`t have a name for yet. it`s mainly to give a new 3D look, as if there are 2 layers (yeah i know more shading is required - this is just a first trial). Also adding a more round newage look with a white/silvery outline - i`m adding a preview and i`d like any opinions on it.

this may not be controlled by the skin or within the config but I really dislike the cursive group text.... im not using it currently so you may just choose to ignore my opinion...

other than that i really like the simplicity and layout

well - you COULD try it out for yourself... then you`d see the cursive group fonts have nothing to do with the skin. it is the settings I use. you may choose any other fonts you see fit.

as i`ve already said - i hate it when a skin messes up my fonts/settings so i made my skin to change as few settings as possible (none that don`t concern row size).

i`ve attached a version of graphics i`m almost satisfied with (i will increase shading to give the upper part a more "upper" look) so anyone can test this... enjoy

To all that are having problems with clist_modern:

go to blog.miranda-im.org (type the whole thing in ur address bar) click on "NT/Win2k/XP build (UNICODE): [binaries]" download this package, unpack this to a new folder,

and replace all files (yes miranda32.exe too) from your current miranda with the files from this package.

Make sure you have install a unicode messege window.

And BTW, you schould use AIMOscar too, rename it to AIM.DLL and replace your current file too.

I tried this and it worked. Boo Ya!
