3 probs with OB

Ok, these are probably **** questions but hey, if the shoe fits, right?

1. I'm using the latest version of updated tiger and it always gives me this weird shadow thing underneath the apple (like in the attached pic.) and the spotlight Icon. Anyone have any ideas as to how to fix?

2. While I'm at it, how do I get the shadow like in the real Tiger on my OB?

3. I just downloaded Macsearch and I'd like to know how to get my spotlight icon to trigger it.

I know the answers may have been given earlier, but I've looked and found nothing.

the spotlight thingie:

under "view" in OB choose "customize toolbar"

here You can manipulate the objects in the bar (as You know already) AS WELL as the underlying functions

- in Your case, if You expand the spotlight icon You will find the FUNCTION spotlight...

- here under "behaviour" tab You can determine that it should be a shortcut to "macsearchtrigger" in Your macsearch directory that will do exactly what You want

cheers!

EDIT: I forgot- the author Landvermesser has very good tutorials how to use his progs on his website search for him in this forum

I know the answers may have been given earlier, but I've looked and found nothing.

Like what mat_rhein said, With MacSearch running, you set the spotlight icon as a shortcut and link it to the MacSearch_Trigger.exe or Trigger.cmd.

I use Trigger.cmd and assigned a hotkey to trigger it myself on my keyboard.

Landvermesser has already mentioned this on the page you downloaded it from:

"To use MacSearch with Object Bar start MacSearch first and run:

a) MacSearch_Trigger.exe

or

B) Trigger.cmd (make the shortcut to Trigger.cmd and set "Start minimized")"

Hope this helps ;)

Thanks to all of you who have helped, but does anyone know why parts of my skin look like that? I've discovered that it's the same for about every one of my skins...

Actually, I've been having the same problem when messing with OB sometimes... I just save previous edits lot's of times, so I can revert back to versions that didn't have the grey line. Sometimes it showed a white line above my OB, too.
