I'm finding Y'Z to be a great app, love the ability to drag and drop on the bar which OD can't do, yet.
I was wondering if there was a way to show currently running applications like OD does. With this ability I can stop using the taskbar.

Nope, there is no taskbar function in Y'z, and unfortunatly he doesnt plan on implementing it.
The best suggestion I can give you is to get ObjectBar and a Finder skin. This will give you a mac look and a taskbar.
Oh geez. Thanks for the reply.
Really hurts Y'Z imho. At work I had to keep going back to the task bar to focus on apps and it really made me aware how important that feature is.
Shame, I think Y'Z is in much better shape then OD, the drag and drop support is great. The ability to add sections as well. Most important I get the menus associated with the items I drop on the bar such as My Computer.
Guess I should look into writing one myself
.
Well OD is supposed to support menus before V1 is released.
I think Mr. Y is only adding features he wants to use. This is fine, as it is his. I guess he likes the taskbar as well.
Maybe KaosAD can take Mr. Y out back and ruff him up a little, until he makes a taskbar. Or you can donate some money. Money speaks louder sometime.
Have you tried MobyDock? Its IMHO, the best dock out there. It offers all the features of Y'z/OD (except for docklets), has a taskbar, and is COMPLETLY HARDWARE ACCELERATED USING DX.
I don't understand the fuss about "hardware acceleration". For me Y'z dock is 10x smoother than MD. MD lags like hell when i have many programs open, and when i'm opening some prog or loading a website, the dock almost freezes. And it uses 15mb of memory, whereas Y'z dock uses 500kb. Y'z dock runs smoothly almost always, so it's my choice. Plus i get all the awesome docklets.
we could read in a lot of topics the yzdock needs only one function to have the ability creating items by a docklet.
and why did Mr. Y release DockletSDK if he add only those features he wants to use? I'm sure he watches the needs of users of Yz applications else they could release the whole source of his softwares then anybody could develop it.
