IPod transfer utility

Hello everyone

I have been assigned this task to write a ipod transfer utility.

I am an absolute ****ie to ITunes Windows COM SDK and IPodService.

After reading the Itunes Windows COM SDK, i understand that ITunes will keep launching in the foreground when doing the transfers. I want to avoid this. Is there someway that i can prevent the Itunes window from launching but yet do teh transfer in the background. I tried the ForceToBackground flag, but iTunes is still launching.

Then i came across the IPodService Type Library , but there is no docs available to using it. Is there some docs available to using the IPodService application.

Or can someone guide me on this ITune Windows COM SDK ? I hope this is the right forums to post this question, if not then can someone guide me to the appropriate place to do it.
