ZIP files wont unstuff

Hey,

I have this problem with some zip files that won't unpack. Theres 4-5

of them and in some cases the little unarchive window just disapears

half way through unarchiving and in some cases it shows a message

that says there was an error.

Any help would be appreciated cause whats inside the zip files is

really important and I don't want to loose it

Have you tried using another app to unzip them? Stuffit expander? Or get them on to a windows PC and use WinZip?

I often experience this(the error message) when unpacking 4, 5 or 6 zip files at a time. I then just take them one by one and no error shows.

sometimess I have similar problem with .rar files... My workaround - unpack them via Terminal.app & terminal version of rar. Try it. I think Rar can unpack zip files...

Use Stuffit to unzip them, cuz when a .zip has a password, the Mac OSX upzipping program doesn't support .zip with password. Maybe thats the problem.
