Aqua-Soft Forumsok I use songs to downaload from website which are russians. When I drag them to Itunes. i get a different name from the one listed in Music folder. How to change this. I read in a thread that u can do this, but I cannot seem to find it.

in itunes, right-click on the song and select 'get info.' from there, you can change a lot of stuff.

U guys know that u can uncheck the Keep iTunes folder organized in Advanced preferences and iTunes will just read the files in ur folder without renaming the files?

lol. muscie I think Unbeliever was refering to the ability to import files into iTunes without having them moved into the iTunes folder automatically.
If I understand correctly you want to use iTunes but only show the filename in the library, this is possible if you strip any ID3 tag from the file before importing. I recommend JJMp3 Renamer for this task. Drag the files into the program, select them and then click remove to remove both 1 and 2.x version ID3 tags. Now when you add to iTunes it will only show your filename.
I have to say I don't understand why you don't use get info (or the above program) and tag your files correctly, that way you can use the genre, artist, album sorting feature (a big plus) of iTunes.

Not that I'm aware of. Although why don't you simply use the program I recommended? It can deal with mutiple files in one go so you can easily remove the tags from a number of mp3 files. Also I believe it comes without spyware although you could tell us if it did!
JJmp3 rename also allows you to create tag data based on the filename. Say for example the filename is "11 - Nizlopi - Worry.mp3" the program can tag the file with track, artist and album automatically. Importing to iTunes would then give you a nicely organised library.

You could use mp3Tag to automatically get info from file name to id3 tags if you're lazy to type ti in manually 
jup, I was about to suggest mp3tag - it's a splendig prog and does almost everything you want it to. be sure to read the helpfile that pops up on the first start, though
