What's The Best Linux?

I'm thinking about installing Linux onto a blank partition on one of my hard drives but I wanna know what is probably the best version to use? I know there is Mandrake, Red Hat, SuSe, Lindows, etc, but which is the the best?

Also, some of you might find this interesting. In a recent Maximum PC there's an article about a kid who installed 37 different OSes onto 6 different hard drives. The article can be found here:

different distros R made for different types of Users and how much knowledge they now ,If ur a starting ****ie for linux I would say try Mandrake and then when u get use to the linux file system and then how it works move on to something different.hopes that helps :lol:

Im glad to see that somepeople in our forums are looking at the mighty penguin linux!

linux is a great operating system.. it is totaly different then windows so do not expect easy everything... its amazing what it can do and how it works. I agree with pacal.... try mandrake its an easy distro.. i have it too :) as long as some other i have installed, read on it too!

Im trying to get to work mandrake, seems good, for what I've read, it is better for newibies to get mandrake or suse.
