I'm thinking about installing Linux onto a blank partition on one of my hard drives but I wanna know what is probably the best version to use? I know there is Mandrake, Red Hat, SuSe, Lindows, etc, but which is the the best?
Also, some of you might find this interesting. In a recent Maximum PC there's an article about a kid who installed 37 different OSes onto 6 different hard drives. The article can be found here:

different distros R made for different types of Users and how much knowledge they now ,If ur a starting ****ie for linux I would say try Mandrake and then when u get use to the linux file system and then how it works move on to something different.hopes that helps 
Im glad to see that somepeople in our forums are looking at the mighty penguin linux!
linux is a great operating system.. it is totaly different then windows so do not expect easy everything... its amazing what it can do and how it works. I agree with pacal.... try mandrake its an easy distro.. i have it too 
as long as some other i have installed, read on it too!

Im trying to get to work mandrake, seems good, for what I've read, it is better for newibies to get mandrake or suse.
