Could anybody show me how to compile a linux kernel to run my PCMCIA wifi card? I've got Ubuntu installed on my PC and it doesn't recognise my pc card (netgear), I went to their site and downloaded the linux kernel (version 2.6.x) but I have no clue how to get it working.

BTW which version of Ubuntu you're use. You can try latest Ubuntu 6.04 Live CD Dapper-flight CD4. It's quite stable and have option to install to disk
