iPod disk error?

First, I simply love the flyakiteosx suite. It's simply awesome!!. For some reason, I'm unable to update my 60gb Ipod Photo with flyakiteosx 3.0 or 3.5. Has anyone else had any similar problems or know about a fix? It will update fine initially when I plug it in, but if I try to do a manual update, it gives a disk read/write error. After uninstalling flyakite, it works just fine. I want to use the suite, but I also need to be able to update my ipod on the fly. Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks,

Dan

I have had this problem with both version 3.0 and 3.5. I tried an install of each and unchecked the option to install mplugin and I received the same error. I tried uninstalling and re-installing itunes, and received the same disk error when trying to update the ipod. I'm not having an issue with corruption that I am aware of, I'm just having an issue with the ipod updating.

I did a re-install again. If I neglect to do a reboot right away, I have full itunes functionality, including being able to right click on my Ipod, choosing update, and my ipod sucessfully updates. After re-boot, and everything loads, I can plug my ipod in and it will update however, if I open Itunes, right click on my ipod and choose "update", then I receive the disk error that the ipod can not be read from or written to.

I find it hard to believe that I am the only one experiencing this symptom. Any help would be greatly appreciated!!

Just to follow up in case anyone else has this issue. From normal XP, I switched the ipod into disk mode. Then when I made the transition to Flyakite, the update happened as it should. No more disk errors.

Any solution? My iPod nano can't be synced at all, when Flyakite is installed. I think it somehow has to do with the system files. Probably the dlls?

I have the same problem but with my 1GB Shuffle and 30GB Video. It keeps saying the disk (ipod name) can not be synced because the required disk can not be found. Can anyone help?

Try using another application to sync the ipod's like winamp, or anapod explorer, thats what i would do.
