restore folder thumbnail icon color

anyone knows how to restore the folder thumbnail icon color to the original one? yellow color that is. after uninstalling flyakiteosx, i noticed that some of my folders remained blue in thumbnail view... is there anyway to restore them ALL AT ONCE to their original color?

delete all the thumbs.db

Also rebuild your icon cache. Download TweakUI:

Run it and go to the "Repair" option at the bottom.

"Rebuild Icons" should be selected. Hit "Repair Now".

This will delete the IconCache.db file. You can do this manually too - look in:

C:Documents and SettingsUSERNAMELocal SettingsApplication Data

1 more thing... where can i download the default windows XP icons in PNG format?

* Start the program

* Open a DLL file that contains icons (e.g. shell32.dll)

* Browse the list and select the icons/sizes that you want

* Go to File -> Save as PNG...

* Done!

Also converts in the other direction too (PNGs to icon library)

It's just a really great freeware program.

but i want it to be 128 PX i've triend it on iconworkshop but i'm not satisfied with the results...

I'm pretty sure you won't many XP icons in 128px format.

That would require redrawing every icon by hand - and MS might look on it as a breach of their copyright.
