Well, actually when using some normal ftp-client like FlashFXP or SmartFTP or FileZilla (first one is shareware, two others are freeware) you can add settings for some editor you want to use when editing files on server, then you just select file in clien, press "edit file (ctrl+e or smth like this), edit file and voila!
