QuickTime Player 7 Default Language

Heya folks!

Right, so I'm trying to change QuickTime Player's Language to English (I'm using Chinese Trad. version of WinXP). I did choose View > Language, the only option it gave me it English, but all my menus are in Chinese so I thought there's something wrong with the installation.

Removed it, downloaded the English version QuickTime 7 Standalone version, re-installed; still the same. I can, however, change the Picture Viewer's default language by going into QuickTime installation folder and fool around with the files within PictureViewer.Resources

But I can't seem to find how to change QuickTime Player's language

Can anyone help? TIA :D

You can download iTunes installer and choose the language at prompt while installing it, then uninstall iTunes if you want to.

Hope that helps. Because I've never used QuickTime Standalone installer.

Thanks for the reply, but that's what I did at first, install Quicktime with iTunes.

I can choose to install iTunes in English, and my iTunes is in English, but my Quicktime is

still in Chinese.. grr..

Still, thanks for the reply ;)

Weird. That works on my colleague's Chinese Simp. version of WinXP.

You might as well change the "Language for non-Unicode program" from Chinese (TW) to English.

That is how I get JRE to use English in its GUI.

Thanks again m8, I tried changing that just now, but my JRE doesn't change to English, and the Quicktime stays the same, it's okay though, I'll try updating it with the new version of iTunes sometime later...

Thanks!
