hi everybody here @ aqua-soft,
about 6 months ago i started to make my desktop in a new style, one half was mac the other was xp, it looked good, but im not the best programer, so i stoped.
now i want to start a projext, making half the left half of the screen vista and right half mac.
will anybody help me?
That truely sounds iffy... But I guess you need to search the forum to get some inspiration - that is the best way to find out which programs is available for your taste...
yea im pretty stuck here...i need to find a way to put the tasks from buttom right corner to top right in mac style bar while the start button is at the bottom left in vista theme, i have almost finished a wallpaper for the theme, its pretty good 
What youre talking about is splitting the taskbar in two, keeping one half top Mac style and the other half bottom Vista style?!?

It could be with a modded wallpaper. a few avdesk widgets, some times and programming.
then again i dont have a pc so i cant help from here
Yeah, I suppose with some creative overlays from AveDesk/SysStats, you could attempt something...

I dont think you could make half of the screen vista and the other half mac. One possibility is that you could get two LCD screens and saw them both in half, and put them next to each other, each connected to a different computer - one mac themed, one vista themes.
I can't guarentee that this will work.
The other not quite so destructive possibility is that you could intermengle the two looks, like have the whole glass look but aqua-style "traffic light" buttons.
It is almost impossible to make it literally half vista, half mac. You could possible code a plug-in/ad-on etc for WB that tells it "if the window is within W and X then skin it with vista. if it is within Y and Z then skin it with aqua.
Don't ask what happens when the window is in between both sections.... maybe if over 50% of the window is within that section it is skinned... meh

i have been told i could use 2 different programs to make the taskbar(s) the way i want them, the rest will be simple really, mix a wallpaper, defferent style of widgets on each side, and VIOLA we would have the coolest desktop ever....
I suggest you do this:
Use objectbar for the apple menu and use the one modded of CRNI's panther one - you can get it from OSX-E (google it) =-= get it to display the taskar too.
(Alternative to above) Use a vista taskbar, and a dock (RK Launcher, OD, Yz, etc)
use WindowBlinds for the skin, and get it to have the default as vista, and use per application for half of your apps, and make them all aqua.
Use a mix wallpaper
Use a mix of widgets.
Problem solved.
yes, that was one idea, but i want to find another solution without using objectbar as i dnt reaaly like it, if i cnt find one then i will use it. thanx wuzzie
I'm telling you, use AveDesk widgets to add simple image overlays to the taskbar. It won't be functional but it will look awesome .

in Linux it would be simple but in Windows...hmmm...okay here's a weird idea:
You take the normal taskbar, make it on top and skin it aqua. Object dock in the bottom, skinned to ressemble a Windows taskbar with a start menu (and stop the icon zooming obviously) there is an embedded taskbar in it so it would be functionnal and could look great...

either that or you could do it all with an Objectbar config. But since you don't like it...
Samurize. an entire desktop based on Samurize. o_0 A ressource Hog maybe but that's one way to get what you want...
iv never used samurize. so if its complicated i doubt i could do it, some evil person sent me an email witha picture attached, he has done it and is using it at the moment but said it is simple but wont tell us!!!!!!:@:@:@:@:@:@:@:@:@

ok i sorted my problem :D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D ... i tryed the objectbar thing and it works well, fully functional.
DArn't i wanted to seethe picture...
P.S. My 100th post on A-S! w00t! (Well, actually it's 153 posts, I used to use the AriX account, but something went wrong and now I use both...)
so, will you at least release a screenshot of the thing?
