Aqua-Soft ForumsAlright, normally I wouldn't say anything, but it's really starting to piss me off. Moderators complain that they have to constantly clean up after people. That's the point of a moderator isn't it. Don't like it, then you don't have to be one, no one is forcing you. If everyone followed the rules, tagged threads, etc. we wouldn't even need moderators. Janitors can't complain that they have to pick up garbage, it's part of the job title.
Sorry for most of this, I'm venting, but the tag thing really pisses me off. I don't even know what the official tags are.

At least half of the threads I go into, a moderator says to tag the thread because it is not tagged. Yeah that's great and all, but how in the world is anyone supposed to know what the tags are?
If you read the Forum Guidelines, 2.1.3 mentions tagging your thread. NO WHERE in there is a link to the available tags. It simply says "More details regarding thread tagging are available here." Here where? There's no link. No more info. Nothing. It's kind of hard to tag a thread if you don't know what the heck a tag is.
I would like to see some type of modification to making a post, that presents a drop down box, with a list of all available tags and you must select one. Then the tag is appended to the topic title.
Other than Pe8ers signature, I don't know of a way to get to the information about tags. Which makes me wonder, have the people here who tell others to tag, actually read the rules? If so, they would have noticed that there is no link or info on tagging.

As has been mentioned before, we need a button at the top in the navigation bar, that says rules. Even on the main board page, there is no clear link to the rules. You have to go into an actual forum, and then see it at the top. No offense, but personally I hardly ever even see it.
I think it would be nice if on the main board page, with "Important Aqua-Soft Information" and "Comments and Suggestions", there was another entry at the very top that simply said "Forum Guidelines" and took you to the guidelines.
It would also be nice, if after a new member registered, instead of the registration taking them to the board index, it took them to the Forum Guidelines page.
I think that a "Forum Guidelines" link should be added to the Quick Links menu as well.
I personally feel "Forum Guidelines" should be named to Forum Rules. It is more clean and concise. For those of you who can't imagine how the word "Guidelines" is not concise, keep in mind a good portion of this board does not speak English well. When a member or moderator says "read the rules", anyone who does not understand English very well, may not make the connection between rules and "Forum Guidelines".
[double posting/bumping]
Sometimes double posting/bumping is beneficial. The board sends an e-mail to me whenever a new reply is made in a thread I have posted in. If a person posts a question then no one posts for a week, that thread gets forgotten about, I forget about it, etc. If they edit their topic (or create a new one, in which case they'll be told to search because its been posted before), I'll never know unless I take the time to go hunt down threads. But when they post again, I get a new e-mail and am reminded of something I had entirely forgotten about. When a moderator posts "don't double-post" or "don't bump a thread" after someone has posted, all that does is just bump the thread again and defeat the purpose.
