Old Sierra Game Titles Re-released

Old Sierra adventure game compilations, including space quest, king's quest, police quest, and more are slated for release on March 24, 2006. They will be compatible with windows XP. This is great news for all adventure-genre gamers, since these games defined a generation.

Target: PC Space Quest Compilation

The link goes to Target.com for PC Space Quest Compilation, but I've searched on Amazon and found many of them: King's Quest, Police Quest, Space Quest, Leisure Suite Larry Compilations and it seems that they're being re-distributed by Vivendi Universal..

Anyone planning to buy these? I sure do miss King's Quest =( (and, Leisure Suite Larry's pixelated chicks..)

Police Quest, I used to play that lol, memories

Classics are meant to be left to the good memories. Movies/games - what ever it is. Trust me I used to think Knightrider was the best thing since sliced bread - until they re-ran it on TV and now I realise what a big pile of turd it is. Which is the reason I will not watch re-runs of A-Team or Maguyver.

XP compatible? Aren't these classics DOS games? How is that supposed to run under XP? And aren't those games abandonware by now?

For the biggest part I agree with Tricky that Classics are meant to be left to the good memories. I used to love Baldur's Gate (Minsc and Boo), Used to play it night after night.

But when I re-installed it recently on my new AMD64 rig I couldn't stand the graphics and uninstalled after a not even half an hour of playing. :slant:

What does keep on being fun imo is arcade classics on MAME and emulators such as snes9x and ePSXe...

@wiebeest: I'm not sure either, but they said it will be compatible with WinXP, perhaps they recompile it or something?

But I can't seem to find any info on VUGames' official site :slant:
