cant add shortcut to a usb camera (not a removable drive)
looked in registry and found device id

represents the my camera location (0000)
but i cant use this as a shortcut

only way found is make a shortcut on the desktop and then link a avedesk shortcut to the desktop shortcut... but doesnt hide on disconnect...

HMmmm... I want to make a link to my camera too. It's cool when you insert a removable media and the desklet shows. It could be great if we can do that with an usb camera too. That's my point. What's yours?
i don't know if you'll make it work with Pidl as long as it is recognized as a device and not as a removable drive
you can try yhis, though: after you connect the camera, go to the desklet properties, shortcut tab and then drag the device from the windows explorer to the Path field; this way you'll have the correct address of that device in the Path; if it will show/hide on connect/disconnect, this i cannot say, i don't have any camera device to test it
