[help] Firefox Quicktime Plugin Problem

Not sure if anyone else is havng this issue but I can't seem to find a way to get anything quicktime oriented to work in firefox. The plugin is claiming to be missing and is "not available" to be updated. I've tried reinstalling just about anything that would (or should) fix this problem but low and behold it's still missing. Another issue is that I can't seem to find just a standalone quicktime plugin that doesn't involving installing quicktime (in this case, again).

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Don't use quicktime! Use Quicktime Alternative ;)

Also there is Real Alternative available in the same vein.

That's what I use and they are both brilliant.

Hope it helps.

Appreciate the link but I actually do use that and it doesn't seem to coincide with firefox either.

deleted reg.dat file, deleted prefs, deleted and resinstalled both completely, changed QT MIME settings

Trying doing that and see what happens.

Awesome, it works now. I guess i was a bit wary of just reinstalling everything from scratch since I finally got safire looking how I wanted it; but after installing firefox and then quicktime alternative right afterwards before any extentions or anything it works. So in a nutshell, thanks a lot! It shouldn't take me too long to get everything back to normal since I backed up my skins and extentions and userchrome stuff. :)
