I used Flyakite OSX v2 till some days ago, then I uninstalled it and installed Flyakite v3 (stupid, I know). It told me something like "cannot modify moviemk.exe" and stopped the Installation. When I restarted my PC, I got a Bluescreen telling me something like "invalid Checksum for shell32.dll". I copied the shell32.dll from Barts PE and after that, i did the same with wininet.dll. Finally, I managed to start Windows, but everything was messed up! Most of the Icons were gone (Not the real Problem), AND my WLAN-Connectionwas gone. When I tried to restart it with "System Settings->Network Connections", Windows told me something like "explorer.exe requested memory in 0*(insert hexadecimal number here) and has to be terminated" Help?!
[help] Everything messed up!
Did you restart after uninstalling Flyakite 2?
yes, I did.
IMPORTANT: If anything should go wrong that prevents you from getting into Windows after restart, you can use your XP disc to boot into Recovery Console, and then use the command "BATCH RestoreFlyakiteOSX.txt" without the quotes.
If you had done this, everything would have been fixed. Unfortunately, you sledge-hammered a fix so this might not work. You're probably going to have to reinstall XP.
If you still have the backup files from v2.0 shouldn't you be able to replace the files and install v3.0?
Have you tried Safe Mode?
im bumping this because his comp is really screwed go to the fly a kite osx website and where you donwlaod it it says you do NOT need to uninstall previous versions so not only is it a waste of time now your computer is fhed
Are you actively searching out old threads to bump them, or what? If you're going to do that, can you at least use proper English? That would make it more forgivable, especially if your post is semi-constructive as it is (though you really don't have to remind him that his computer is "fhed," as you so appropriately termed it).
