[question] pages and keynote equivalents

what would be the windows equivalent to these apps-i would guess keynote would be like powerpoint but what would pages be like on windows?

pages is more like simplified desktop publishing. i can't think of an alternative but it's a blend of word and indesign...

keynote is much more beautiful than powerpoint though that's probably the main competitor [openppoint too]

Maybe Microsoft Publisher is what you're looking for. I haven't used Pages, but Publisher is kind of like a dumbed-down desktop publishing app.

I think Impress is closer to Keynote but then again I haven't used Offuce in a while.

Impress (IIRC) is the presentation component of OpenOffice.org.
