hey guys, i have iTunes 6..0.2. with multiplugin 2.2 and everytime i want to exit out of iTunes it lags my pc as soon as i click exit. i cant do anything for around 10-20 seconds which is gay, it used to do this before i had multiplugin but not as harsh, i didnt have the lag, but it would re-open itself. this is really pissing me off, so plz help me!

you have avetunes open. usually what i do is when im closing my itunes, i close avetunes first. then close itunes and no itunes popping out after that.

I have this same exact problem. I have just given up having itunes closed and with multiplugin it isnt that big a drain on resources.
I think that it must have something to do with avetunes like kaloyster says. But I dont want to have to close both just to close itunes down. Can you trigger itunes to close from within avetunes therefore closing both of them?
i dunno, what i usually do is when i close itunes window, i'll wait for about ten seconds. and if it doesn't show up, i'm in luck. that means the avetunes will auto-close too (i set it up to "hide when no itunes detected")
same problem here with avetunes, i tunes hangs for about 20-30 seconds when closing, and sometimes (not always) it pops back up, i have to kill it in task manager (sometimes multiple times) before it finally quits.
Known bug but Mr. Lazy-ass programmer doesn't have time to fix it

yeah sometimes i have to kill the enter key 3 or 4 times in task manager

Yeah it's Avetunes. Happens to me too, I don't care, that's why I have "minimize to tray" enabled. What ever I don't know won't hurt me . It's no biggy, it'll close when you turn off your computer .
I don't have AveTunes but this behavior happens to me too. I only have Multi-Plugin 2.2 and iTunesControl 0.29 installed.

I think you have a point there, my friend. But the odd thing is, when AveTunes cdcover is open, this occurs. When it's closed, the problem doesn't show up.
Or maybe it has something to do with AveTunes and MPlugin? I dunno.

No, THAT'S part of the problem as well. See that after the iTunes window closes then reopens (sporting the ugly Windows iTunes default), when you/I/we close that popped-up window, then THAT'S the time the question will show up stating that some program is using iTunes etc. etc.

no i didnt forget my meds. i just hate people taking over my post and making it about THEIR problems, when theyre actually ment to be helping ME solve MY problems. it just got totally off track. If YOU have problems i HIGHLY SUGGEST that YOU start YOUR OWN thread, instead of hijacking other peoples threads. like seriously, at what point in my first post did i say ANYTHING about avetunes. cant people read ffs
Um, this is a communal forum. There should be no talk about people "taking over your post" unless your computer was dying in front of your eyes and people started talking about flying monkeys with attitude problems whilst your motherboard melted and your hard drive froze.
No one is meant to be helping YOU solve YOUR problems. I know I didn't sign up for this forum so many years ago because I had a premonition that one day I should help a member named dmaji1 with his iTunes problem. No one here is a licensed iTunes support technician from Apple and honestly, no one here has an actual responsiblity to you. You could start by uninstalling Mplugin.

lol. i do not mean to come across as an asshole or a looney who has forgot their meds. but i would appreciate it if people started actually reading what my problem is and just seeing "avetunes" in everyone elses post but not in mine. therefore they assume i have Avetunes. still no help....

OK, if you guys are done does anyone have a solution to the first poster's question. I too have a problem with iTunes and Multi plugin causing iTunes to keep re-opening itself after I exit it.
I'm just wondering if there's an actual solution to the problem.
Since both Apple and localhost have updated their respective softwares--are you now using the latest version? iTunes is at 6.04, and I think mplugin is at 2.3.2, though that might be off.

When I originally posted I was using mplugin 2.3.2 and iTunes 6.03. I just now noticed that Apple updated to 6.04. I'll have to see if this makes any difference and let you know! Thanks.
