[rel] MacroXP

For the longest time, I've wanted to make a VS based on the UI Macromedia, now owned by Adobe, uses for certain web apps, such as Flash Paper, Flash, etc. So here it is, my first VS release (not my last!).

#359339

Nice release, I would kiss you but web kissing is illegal in some states. But thats off the point, I really like how it looks like the buttons in Dreamweaver!

#359341

out of nowhere and very smooth, thin taskbar pleaseeeeee

#359349

thats actually nice for windoze -_-

#359351

sweeet ; )

#359360

very nice work.

#359367

Yea this is freakin sweet... but I second the thin taskbar.

#359368

Amazing something very appealing about it-i guess is the fact that it doesnt fall into a vista or aqua category--this is in a class of its own.

using it now

#359371

very nice for a first VS!

#359373

That's really nice :) Would also like to see a thinner taskbar, but if this is your first style,

it's really good! Lovely! :)

#359391

Looks very nice and calm. Congrats for great release :)

Although there's one thing that I think is a little bit out of place: titlebar buttons. They stand out too much, perhaps because glyphs are very big and totally black. I'd make them more subtle.

#359403

Looks good, I like it!

#359406

Nice job...well done and thanks.

#359409

Nice VS. I love the tactile look to the buttons :D

#359413

Thiner tsakbar would be nice. Rest: Very well done.

#359422

Looks very nice and calm. Congrats for great release :)

I like them the way they are. I might change them for the alternate version I'm planning.

About the thin taskbar: the size of the start button doesn't really allow me enough space for a thin taskbar. A normal sized taskbar is also a personal preferrence, so I think it'll be staying like this, at least for now.

Thanks everyone for the comments. I'm glad everyone liked the way the theme turned out. :D

#359432

for a first, second, or whatever number this still very fresh and smooth. but like i said no thintaskbar, no use for me. will keep it just incase tho.

#359443

Great job and pretty original even if you took the base idea from Macromedia. Just a few comments -

1. Alternative Start Button - you may want to look into this as if Macromedia (Adobe) is anything like MS you may have to change it by force :(

2. Full Start Panel & Thin Task Bar - Not a huge deal as I could always make the changes myself, but I'm lazy :)

Thanks again for a great job. Going to be using this one for a little while at least :D

#359492

I like your VS, but have to say the same as above.

Full start panel and thin task bar.

Nice icons you have on the screeny there, is it an iconpackager file ?

If so, where can we find it ?

#359545

Updated: February 14, 2006

Added: Full Startmenu version.

Fixed: Text on checkboxes and radio buttons getting cut off.

Also, for everyone that wanted to know: You can get the iconpackager theme here.

Geez, I didn't think having a thin taskbar was a requirement these days. I guess I'll be adding it in the next update. :slant:

#359581

Nice theme especially for your first release! Keep it up!

#359582

I'm not sure about everyone else but i use VSs with thintaskbars exclusively because I like to have as much screen realestate as possible and making it thin doesn't take away any functionality.

Added: Thin Taskbar version.

Added: Full Startmenu + Thin Taskbar version.

#359770

seeeeexy, thank you so much for doing the thin taskbar version.

i hate to keep asking for stuff, but i can try to do it myself. the macromedia button is a bit too big but like i said i'll try it myself first.

thx again for an awesom VS.

#359790

Perfect now ! Am using it :)
